By getting this CNC machine in my classroom, students will be introduced to a whole new type of learning that can be used throughout their education and into their future careers. With the CNC machine, students would be receiving a lot of different curriculum including electronics, science, wood working, robotics, arts, coding, and engineering.
Students will be able to become effective problem solvers while using modern digital fabrication tools and creating learning opportunities for a variety of skills.
In a single project students will need to come up with an idea, create a design, use CAD software for the design, generate toolpaths, apply math and science principals, set up the design and the machine, and cut out the final project. This is building block to more complex projects and for training into a workforce of technology and manufacturing.
