Unfortunately, our Science classes do not have manipulative kits to teach our lessons. We have to beg, borrow or buy our own materials to teach our students the standards. I want my students to experience the lesson and not just read about it! We have shown moon phases using Oreos, electric circuits using old Christmas lights and batteries, and experienced dichotomous keys using candy... I have even shown molecular structure with gumdrops and toothpicks. However, permanent supply kits help my students learn for years to come.
