Remember those experiences that defined you as a learner and allowed you to understand difficult concepts? My students need those! My 5th grade students are inquisitive and interested in exploring new avenues. They learn best from connecting ideas and learning experiences to real-life, hands-on activities. My students welcome new opportunities and are eager to grow academically. Our school is in a rural area with a high poverty level. We have much community support by way of participation and our parents utilize all opportunities to assist their children both within and outside of the classroom.
