I have an eclectic group of third graders who are energetic, enthusiastic, and excited to learn. Our school is diverse: 33% Hispanic, 6% African American, 11% Asian, 3% Filipino, and 41% White. Fifty-five percent of the student population comes from a socioeconomically disadvantaged household. We also have a large number of students who are in Foster care. Our school opened in 1996 as an elementary school for a population of 550. In 2007-08, it was converted to a K-8 school and now houses over 850 students.
