My students come from a very high poverty area where they don't get much outside support to do well in school. They have brilliant minds and tons of potential but it is a task to keep them interested in learning. I'm constantly coming up with new things to maintain their interest and spark their desire to learn. I also try to create a positive classroom environment that makes them want to come to school and try their best.
My students are also loud, rambunctious and very energetic. They are constantly on the move often preferring to stand while they work or kneel on their chairs. They can use all the help they can get to focus on tasks in school
