The funding of this project will greatly help my kids function better in their general education classes. My students often need more physical activity breaks in order to be able to maintain focus and attention. They will be able to have physical activity breaks throughout the day. They will also be able to have access to these requested Balance Balls, one Gorilla Gym set, Bouncy Bands for Chairs, Wobble Cushions, Exercise Resistance Bands, and two InStride Folding Cycles to help decrease interruptions due to sensory needs.
My students will be able to get the physical input they need despite the decreased amount of structured recess. Our students now a days are not getting the amount of physical activity input they need for proper brain function. Students who appear ADHD/ADD in the classroom, often only need a way to expel energy.
