My students are from a rural community. Our school is almost 100 years old. Many of our parents and teachers came to this school as children. There are only about 300 students in our PREK-5th grades. Our community is involved and supports many of our school-wide activities. We only have one stoplight in town and have access to downtown which gives a sense of "family". My students are very diverse. My class includes a variety of learning styles as well as ability levels. I use the inclusion model during math and writing lessons where the Exceptional Children's teacher comes into our class and assists with whole group, small group and individual learning.
