I teach second grade in a high-needs school with a very high poverty rate. Despite all of the trials and tribulations that my students face on a daily basis, they enter my classroom each morning and give me a big smile and an even bigger hug. I make sure that my students know how loved they are in my classroom; because many times they don't get that same kind of love, safety, and security in their own homes. I do everything I can to make their experience in my class a joyful and unforgettable one; because I know how much they truly appreciate everything I do for them. I would not want to be any other place in the world but in the classroom with them, fostering their love of learning!!

About my class
