Herzl School of Excellence is a second-year turnaround school, managed by the Academy of Urban School Leadership, located in Chicago's historic North Lawndale neighborhood (exact address is 3711 W. Douglas Blvd.). We are a Pre-K-8 school that's committed to producing scholars, leaders, problem-solvers, future college graduates, and critical thinkers that will in turn improve North Lawndale, Chicago, and beyond. We also educate diverse learners that possess unique skills cognitively that include, and aren't limited to, autism, low and high incidence behaviors, and other health impairments. We have the largest, free full-day pre-school program in the Chicago Public Schools.
