Our school is a Title I Magnet School focusing on leadership, technology, and global communication. Our school emphasizes Lifeskills, such as common sense, perseverance, and effort. Our school also encourages the students to follow the 7 Habits, such as Be Proactive, Synergize, and Put First Things First. Students and teachers model these valuable characteristics. This year's theme is "Global leaders embarking on a year of adventure." We are using the Flying Classroom (with pilot Captain Barrington) and project-based learning as a vehicle to promote science, creativity, critical-thinking, collaboration, and communication. The Flying Classroom will be flying around the world interviewing scientists in the field, raising environmental awareness, and putting students in the roles of junior scientist and researcher.
