As a guidance counselor, I have the privilege of listening to and providing these students with immediate assistance in the form of food, hygiene necessities, clothing, school supplies, and any other individual needs. Despite what struggles my students encounter, they continue to defy all odds by coming to school to receive their education. I want to continue to provide as much support and resources they need to be successful.
Students can come to me if they need a snack such as graham crackers or fruit snacks at the beginning, middle or at the end of the day. Students who don't have a toothbrush or toothpaste or deodorant don't have to worry about other students saying something to them. They can come receive those items from me.
