My students are able to stay in their general educaiton classrooms with their peers when they have access to modified assignments created beforehand. The ink allows me to continue providing these modified assignments without making painful sacrifices elsewhere. Their ability to remain with their same-age peers makes a world of difference in the school community as a whole. These students with significant disabilities are able to be a part of all the experiences common to the middle school experience. Without these modified assignments, they are unable to participate in these classrooms and are forced to remain in the special education room more often. Without access to a printer to print out their own work, they have difficulties with accomplishing the work they could not do otherwise. The students with significant physical disabilities utilize the printer to turn in completed work they wouldn't be able to do by hand. Student routines, reinforcment schedules, and picture communication boards are also created using this printer, making it one of the most versatile and widely used technologies in my classroom.
