My students are mostly poor to low middle income students. Country kids would best describe them. My school is rural, with about 500 students. We have 47% of our students on free and reduced lunch, but we graduate 98% of our students. we have almost half of those students going to some sort of post secondary education.
We have a very strong science department at my school. We teach the core biology, chemistry, physics, but, we also have PLTW Biomedical, and PLTW Engineering. All these programs are filled to capacity.
