Hello! My name is Mary Ann Loch and I am so very lucky to teach English in Arcata California at Pacific Union School.
I truly love what I do. I leap out of bed every morning full of joy, hope, and inspiration because I love my career. It is a place where human beings discover their potential and power and hopefully continue to do so.
Along with challenging students with rigorous reading and writing lessons and activities, we practice the art of speaking and listening. We also experience all of the fine arts together as well, including an annual musical in which the whole junior high participates.
I am very passionate about teaching and I love to watch our students bloom with a love for learning. I enjoy making learning not just entertaining for my kids; it's my goal for them to experience epiphanies. I want them to progress as learners and better humans who better this world.
