I teach third grade at an inner city public school. We have one of the highest transient rates in the city. A high percentage of our students qualify for the free and reduced lunch program. Our school has a large ESL population. Most of our students have limited exposure to scientific tools. Many of the student have never used binoculars or thermometers.
