The students at Castle Dome come from a wide background. Many are migrant students whose parents have to travel for work. Some are in military families. The one thing that they have in common is their work ethic and love of music. They have demonstrated time and time again a willingness to take chances and to communicate at a level that is very unusual for people their age. They have performed music that is written for adult musicians at a very respectable level. We have over nine hundred students at Castle Dome who are involved in projects inside and outside of school. Many of the music students are involved in projects with other middle schools, high schools, and even some local professionals.
