The students in my school are 67% English Language Learners with several new refugees who are just beginning to learn English. My school also consists of about 97% students who come from low income families. My classroom consists of many students who require multi-sensory learning in order to be successful, and I work to adjust instruction based on the needs of my students. One of the things my students would greatly benefit from is being able to move and wiggle while seated. Research has taught us that movement is crucial to learning, so increasing physical activity should actually improve a child's academic performance and attention.
