I have 22-energetic children that come from very diverse backgrounds. My class includes several limited English speaking children. The children range from upper middle class to living in poverty. Each one of them brings a special gift to my class, and we consider ourselves a family.
My school is in a rural, country area of the county. It is a school that prides itself on being a community school. Many of the families have been in the area for generations.
