Hands-on learning is vital in the intermediate elementary years. Especially when incorporating science. By building rockets, using LEGOS, and making volcanoes, etc., the students are learning to use and build their reading, mathematics, science, and certainly the social skills with interacting with their peers. I have done these things for use and have seen the positive effects year after year.
These projects build confidence and creativity, as well as enhancing the curriculum that I am using. In addition, these projects assist the students by preparing them for assessments. I look forward to receiving any assistance that I can in making this possible.
