About 64% of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch, and many students are considered from low-income households. My job is to provide students as many experiences as possible while they are in my classroom. Each day, my students enter our classroom with a big smile. They come to school to learn and to experience something new every day. I offer non-traditional, hands-on experiences as well as other effective strategies, which is known as DAP or developmentally appropriate practices. My primary goal is to teach children to be self-directed learners who seek resources to find answers. I love coming to school teach every day. I think my students love coming to school to learn too.
