My students can experience a wide range of emotionally identified concerns that can make it difficult for them to learn in a school environment. Some of these challenges can stem from divorce, abuse, or several other identified mental health struggles that can make school a challenging situation. I'm a school Social Worker and work with students who are identified with particular challenges. Having that outlet for these students is beneficial, as there are so many tools out there to help. Digital tools, books, apps, are some of the many materials I like to use. These students are a joy to work with as well as challenging, but regardless of the situation all students have needs, emotions, and feelings that can be reached if given the opportunity, time, and and the right materials. My schools take seriously the identified concerns in these students, and have Social Work services (me) to help facilitate this process.
