Having a designated spot for my students to sit together and share their thinking is vital for their young minds. We will use this rug when reading stories, solving mathematical problems, and participating in classroom culture meetings.
Giving low-income students the opportunity to sit together and share ideas is an investment in their social and academic futures. This project will be used everyday and will encourage students to be apart of a calm and friendly learning environment. It will create a meaningful difference in the lives of my students and allow them to talk to one another and think critically about what they are learning each and everyday.
