My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds. They range the spectrum from students who are dealing with homelessness to students who are coming from affluent households. My students need exposure to current topics and issues. I have a wonderful population of students who want to succeed but do not necessarily understand what it means to struggle or to persevere when things get difficult. I would like to expose them to stories about those who have been successful in difficult situations in their lives.
