I teach Biology at La Vista Continuation and La Sierra High Alternative School campuses in Fullerton, CA, serving at Promise students. My classroom focuses on improving attendance, productivity, and citizenship while inspiring curiosity through hands-on, NGSS-aligned STEAM experiences. I coordinate Biannual STEAM Week and STEAM Career Symposium, and I sponsor the Science, STEAM, and Karaoke Clubs. At La Vista and La Sierra, we empower students facing academic and personal challenges to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math in meaningful ways. My instruction emphasizes inclusive, project-based learning that fosters environmental and health awareness, connects students to real-world problems, and introduces careers in STEAM fields, engaging over 262 students annually in creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and building confidence.
