My school is located in a very low income community. My students face many personal challenges and obstacles which, unfortunately, puts their education on the low end of their priorities. I have to jump over many hurdles to get them excited about Language Arts. I believe if they have books that they are interested in reading, this will then spark their curiosity and interest to dig deeper and learn more. Technology in the classroom that is relevant will also spark their interest and get them excited to learn.
