I teach in an extremely small and racially diverse community. Many of our students are on free and reduced lunch. My classroom consists of 16 children ages 3-5 who have been identified with a developmental delay. They are at least 1.5 years behind in development( from speech and language to gross motor skills to children with down syndrome.) I work with my kids in a small group and help them learn basic skills to prepare for kindergarten.
