I work in a Title I school in rural North Carolina. My school strives to provide the best for all students but budget cuts have hindered this endeavor.
My students come to school eager to learn each day. They love Kindergarten and want to be the best they can be. Many students do not have access to technology and are easily engaged when we are doing activities on the smartboard. I want to make sure they have developmentally appropriate technology with access to handheld, touch screen tablets since they are not ready for the motor demands of desktop computers (keyboard and mouse) and many times the computers are not working.
