My students come from an urban area and most come from a lower socioeconomic status. My students don't have many academic experiences outside of school, come from less than ideal housing situations and most are food insecure or simply don't have food in the house on a regular basis. Due to these struggles, many of the students have learning disabilities and need significant support to fill academic gaps.
