My students live in a poor, isolated region in the Appalachian Mountains. So isolated, in fact, many people have never even heard of our towns! I love my rural culture and my students. We know how to stretch supplies and often know how to make something out of nothing! I am interested in opening up the outside world to them through literature, science and history. My kiddos are the best!
