Our students lost out on over a year of face-to-face instruction. These tools will help our students in the subject they are collectively struggling with the most - math. Students will now be able to engage in small, independent math groups using the multiplication, area, and fraction learning games which help address health standard 4.IC.3.1 wherein students practice appropriate verbal and nonverbal communication to enhance health and to avoid or reduce health risks. These resources will help our third graders become fluent in multiplication math facts by the end of the year and to practice lost communications skills.
By providing a plethora of hands-on math tools for our students we can fully engage them in the most difficult third grade math concepts. I have also included an ELL resource which includes writing, reading, and listening activities for our students that have recently moved to America and are learning English. Lastly, headphones will be provided for students whose families cannot afford them.
