My school is located in a diverse, low-income urban community and reflect the growing diversity in the United States. 90% of the children qualify for free breakfast and lunch. It is a large elementary school serving over 600 students who are bused in from several neighborhoods. Many of their families emigrated from various parts of the world to come here for better opportunities. The children are hard-working, resilient, and determined to succeed.
