More than 80% of our students are considered low-income at-risk students who need extra support to thrive in an academic setting. Often this support includes college application help and after-school tutoring. The majority are first-generation college students but even among those who are not, we are continually impressed by their motivation and readiness to absorb new ideas. All of our students love to learn through hands-on projects where technology and Internet access are often central to the process but many do not have the requisite technology or access to the Internet at home to fully participate in these experiences.
