I am a first grade teacher in a city school. My students have wonderful and creative minds that just need a little extra help to be successful in first grade. We don't have a lot of parent support so most students get their reading comprehension skills from school only. The majority of my class is below grade level and needs to be exposed to new vocabulary and experiences.
