My school is a Title I school in a low poverty area of East Point. The population is mainly minority students and a diverse population of students with special needs. There are limited resources available to the students that will help the students achieve higher levels of academic success. The students I work with are students that exhibit academic deficits that impede their learning and makes it difficult for them to transfer information obtained. They are apart of a very transient community which it makes learning even more of a challenge. All of my students receive free lunch and meet the low social economic status in today's society. The students require alternative means to activate their learning and extract their creativity while accenting their present and prior knowledge.
