The students in my low income school struggle to read for a variety of reasons. I would like to overcome some of the challenges for them by providing them quality books they can read together to grow interest and a love for reading.
By having multiple copies of the same books students can, in small reading groups, share experiences of enjoyment, foster learning with one another, and build upon their skills while reading together. Reading together will also help the students who are English Language Learners to overcome vocabulary obstacles and want to read more since they are reading with friends. Please help by donating to build readers for the future.
