My students have a strong desire to learn, but many of them have challenges in their personal lives. School is a place for them to feel safe and find their interests. Our school has a low socioeconomic population of students that believe they are not deserving of a lot of the basic materials provided to the average student. I feel that providing them with opportunities to experience science hands-on will open their eyes to an abundance of possibilities for their future.
