We have a school that has the unique position of not having a dominate culture. While we have 2300 students, no one group is more important than any other. It gives us a HUGE opportunity to open up our minds and hearts to people, especially those different from us. Our school represents all manner of race, sexuality, gender, disability and struggle and I want to make sure our kids appreciate this amazing opportunity. We are however a Title I school which means exposure to positive experiences can be limited and overwhelmed by poverty. I created a show that brings all these cultures and types of people together. Whether you are a dancer or singer, or you know karate and break dancing, are in ROTC or know sign language, this show is your opportunity to show what you are passionate about. It is NOT a competition, it is an exhibition. All money raised in turn helps pay for field trips to places like holocaust museums, big cities, historical sites, plays, concerts and more.
