Phillip O Berry Academy Of Technology serves 1,573 students in grades 9-12. The student:teacher ratio of 17:1 is higher than the North Carolina state level of 16:1. Minority enrollment is 97% of the student body (majority Black), which is higher than the North Carolina state average of 51%. We work with students who are interested in the STEM field, and I work with them specifically in Math. Although we don't qualify for Title I, our students are in need and have little to no additional income to get much needed supplies for success. Students work very hard toward their goals and are a pleasure to work with.
