Our school is in a rural Missouri town that tends to be lower income, but you couldn't ask for students to have bigger hearts or ambition. They work hard and they play hard. My art students tackle each project with that same drive. I love it because when they work hard, I work hard and vice versa. I'm constantly looking for ways to make my curriculum current, interesting, and applicable to them. Often this means incorporating technology in new and exciting ways. It's a matter of pushing them to think of art in a whole new way. A document camera would open up so many more possibilities for us during presentation, demonstration, and instruction time.
