Our world is filled with differences. I would love to start the school year off by having my students accept each other's differences. Reading "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio will be an awesome way to start off our class discussions. My students will be discussing topics such as; bullying, family, friends, kindness, persevering, acceptance, and more. Donating to my project will help build my student’s inner character and build great champions for the future. Students will be able to put themselves in the shoes of the main character. They will walk in the life of a boy named August who was born with a genetic defect that causes him to look different. Despite his differences he learns how to persevere through many situations. I want to teach my students to do the same in their lives.
