I teach in a low income and poverty stricken area. Many of our students are on a free or reduced lunch program. It is not surprising to hear stories of multiple families living together or living in shelters, or moving from foster home to foster home. Many parents do not have the time or resources to help their children in our ever changing society at home. Our school strives to provide components necessary for a great education. I want to make sure my second graders experience as much as they possibly can. Students can take charge of their own learning and technology will only help them with their 21st century skills, the focus at our school.
