I am lucky enough to be called a First Grade teacher. I meet my smiling kids every morning at the door for a good morning handshake. In First Grade world, it doesn't matter how the day before was... everyday is a new day. My kids are silly, funny, energetic, brilliant, and motivated. They love any activity that is hands and they love to accomplish everything in groups. I have a classroom filled with children from different places and children who love different things, but they all have one thing in common-- they all want to learn how to become a fluent reader.
