I teach 3rd grade in an urban elementary school in Denver. Our school population is 58% free and reduced lunch and is one of the most diverse schools in the state. Our students are from 5 of 7 continents, speak over 50 different languages, and come from a variety of refugee nations worldwide. My classroom consists of 17 students who are designated as English Language Learners.
