Many of my students are missing key early phonics skillls that they need to be successful in reading. Having hands-on activities that they can engage with will help reinforce the skills they are learning during phonics instruction.
My students love to manipulate and use their hands as part of their learning experience. I'm requesting Listen & Learn Phonics Activity Program and Word Work Activity Stations. Being able to build and manipulate from these kits, while practicing key phonics skills, will be great for them. Not only will some student get to build and manipulate, but others will be given increased time hearing the phonics skills taught. I have many English Language Learners in my room and this will increase the amount of times they are exposed to key language components.
Additionally, these materials will allow my students to practice these skills independently while I pull differentiated groups to reinforce various concepts taught in phonics.
