These resources are going to update our classroom library to give students new and interesting books to read. Some novels will be used in the 7th and 8th grades as whole class novels. Annotating nonfiction text is easier to organize with multiple colors of highlighters. Highlighters, post-it notes, and printed text are important to help struggling students with understanding what the main idea or central theme of the text is. The goal is to help all students leave the classroom with the tools needed to breakdown information to a point that they synthesize the information for better comprehension.
