I teach at a Title 1 school. We have a high poverty rate and many of our students do not have anyone to read to them or listen to them read. Many of our parents do not have transportation to bring their children to the library or the money to buy them books. The only literature some of our students are exposed to come from school. I do my best to provide my students with a wide variety of books to read and enjoy. I would love my students to have the opportunity to hear recorded books as part of their reading experience.
