My students are elementary school aged children of mainly low income families from various cultures predominantly African Americans, Hispanics and Asians. The school is a title one campus, with a population of 850 students of which 70% of students are on the federal free or reduced price lunch program. Our campus has one of the highest mobility rate in the district with approximately 35% of our students coded as "at risk". These students are coded "at risk" for various reasons including homelessness, foster placement, open CPS cases, working below grade level standards, etc.
