My students are a part of our Environmental Science Academy. We are a Title I school, meaning that most of our students come from disadvantaged, socio-economic background. What the students may lack has no impact, however, on their motivation and sense of pride in their school. My students are, like all teens, great. They are frustratingly oxymoronic. They want to be unique, but fit in. They are cynical, yet dreamers. They will work hard at being lazy. They act too cool, and are still gigantic goof balls. They will want your approval, and later rebel. They want privacy, yet tell you their secrets. They will whine and complain, but say that I'm their favorite.
I enjoy my students. They keep me young, learning, and excited to come to work each day.
