Working as a teacher in District 75 of New York City Department of Education, I have the honor of working with eight wonderful students. My particular class is an 8:1:1 classroom which means that I have 8 students, myself and a paraprofessional. My students are all 5 and 6 years old from different communities in Queens, New York and on the autism spectrum. Within my class, students have significant cognitive delays, are severely emotionally challenged, sensory impaired and multiply disabled.
