Our students learn about simple machines and with these kits they are able to build things together to observe the function of the different simple and powered machines. Building together and then collaborating about their own design strengthens both understanding and communication while letting them use their own creativity. The current LEGO Simple Machine kits that we have are over 15 years old and the wires are starting to break from being used. When the students get their projects together now, they are struggling with being able to all add power to their creations. Students will be able to add power to their constructions and see the simple machine at work. Along with that they will be able to use the solar energy and pneumatic add on kits to explore the world of renewable energy. Help me to let them "do" so they understand.
